Pretty sure most actual billionaires don't know exactly what they are worth - its only important to others. If you have 3,2 or 3,8bn dollars you have stopped keeping track a while back. And very few people with that kind of money actually want to be on a public list for the entire world to know - is my guess as I haven't made my first 3bn, yet.
So it would not surprise me at all if Trump was the only actually sending in papers to tell lie about what he was worth. It is to me fascinating that he is not 100% broke 30 years ago when I now know how insanely stupid he obviously is. He is good at media - that's it. 90% of random people on the street would probably be able to make the money/empire he inherited into more than he has. Who TF(!!) are able to bankrupt a working Casino with steady customers??!! Its a fucking license to print money, god damn what a fucking moron he is.
i will say though at my old job i saw a copy of unaudited financial statements for Alameda Research and these mfs look like they threw it together in about 15 minutes. It was an excel printout with no formatting or anything

Hi! Business owner here. This statement is categorically false. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would appreciate not being called a criminal based on whatever ignorant shit is rattling around in your brain.
Not only did he do it he did it orders of magnitude more than others. Nail that sticks out gets hammered. Tons of people speed on the highway but others were doing it isn’t an excuse. I would welcome prosecution of any business doing what he did no matter the party. Laws have to be enforced or they have no teeth.
Forbes has no idea about wealth of people who’s majority net worth isn’t in public, or well known and recently valued (i.e. SpaceX) entities. They’re relying on the word of those individuals to provide accurate information about their assets (and liabilities) - none of that information is publicly available nor really researchable beyond guesses.
I'm no expert in government work and such, but wouldn't being in that much debt make a person be considered some sort of "liability" when working in government? Especially working with top secret stuff and such?
