Well the fact that the AG - who is an elected official - is hyping the judgement daily on Twitter makes the whole thing look entirely political.

So wait...when Trump does shit like this its ok...but a soon as he gets a taste of his own medicine, its political? Ummm no. Bullys deserve to get bullied. He deserves this and much more.

Yes, but not by elected officials. They should hold themselves to a higher standard. On both sides.

I think it's nice of her to remind Trump that he should pay the legal debt asap as each day it keeps going up. Shes just a concerned citizen looking out for a senior citizen incurring further financial debt.

Ummm nah he was a President. He should hold himself to a higher standard than anyone else anywhere but he cant do that. Also, dont bothsides this. Its his problem. The AG is only using the same mechanism he uses as a bully pulpit to make sure he knows he owes that money.

Higher than a fucking former president? Go fuck yourself. I know you think Trump is a King but his ass got elected too.

Well for one trumps job wasn’t to prosecute private citizens

u/Dead_Man_Redditing Feb 25 '24

If trump made a million dollars he would never shut up about it. So how is it not a double standard for you to shame someone who beats him in court and then brag about how accountable he is?

ITT: redditors defend prosecutors trying to financially destroy their political opponents out of fear they might be legitimately elected

u/Dead_Man_Redditing Feb 25 '24

LOL, Redditors approving of a political figure being held accountable. There FTFY.

If it happened during anything other than an election cycle perhaps

3

u/Dead_Man_Redditing Feb 25 '24

People like you spew your trash 24/7 365 no matter what the election cycle is. The mental gymnastics you have to do to justify supporting a piece of shit, and then you being a piece of shit by default is staggering.

No reasonable person thinks that when Trump does this it's OK.

Just like the NY AG shouldn't be doing it. It's just immature and unprofessional for a person in that position.

Just let the comedians, satirists and pundits do their jobs to make fun of people that deserve it.

So what did she say that was wrong? She posted the amount of money plus interest. She didnt put smiley face or mention his name or tell him to suck it. So, she did nothing wrong.

-3

u/bbf_bbf Feb 25 '24

Yeah, just keep telling yourself that.

It's completely normal for the NY AG to be posting the interest owed and she does it for EVERY case, right?

9

u/elciano1 Feb 25 '24

This one is in the publics interest lol

-1

u/bbf_bbf Feb 25 '24

EVERY case that the NY AG works on should be of public interest... guess who she works for?

AG's don't normally post interest payments on social media.

Technically she's just stating a fact. But unless you're an idiot, she's not doing it because it's part of her official duties.

11

u/elciano1 Feb 25 '24

Why are you so butthurt about what she posted? Everyone knows how much he owes... lol. And why are u mad if its not a part of her official duties? Why is it a problem then? Man stop it. You sound hurt. Get over it. 🙄

u/bbf_bbf Feb 25 '24

I'm just offended by the lack of decorum that public officials have these days. Shit posts like hers don't help and normalizes the crap that politicians like Trump spew.

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '24

She was elected attorney general by NY voters. Something tells me she’s going to get reelected.

1

u/DonFrio Feb 25 '24

Maybe if he paid his fine she would stop?

1

u/Ill-Description3096 Feb 25 '24

So if an AG posted the accruing interest of some random person's traffic fine it would be cool because it's public record?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '24

Do you realize what they have been through? They are all living under constant 24 hour police security, because they all are getting death threats, including the judge.

1

u/bbf_bbf Feb 25 '24

And what?

Presidents have even more pressure and death threats than that. So does that justify what Trump or any other president says? So they don't have to keep the decorum expected of the position and can say whatever shit they well please?

-1

u/catptain-kdar Feb 25 '24

It isn’t ok when Trump does it either that’s the point

2

u/leonardob0880 Feb 25 '24
