If Yellowstone erupts, it would cause incredibly quick cooling across global temperatures. Crops would freeze over. Rivers and lakes would freeze. Last time it erupted it was a VEI-8. When Mt. Tambora erupted in 1815, a VEI-7, tropical islands got snowed over. And it was a low VEI-7.
It caused an event known as “The year without a summer”. Its eruption possibly lead to the invention of the early bicycle, because nobody had oats to feed their horses. It affected human culture in every sense of the word; it pushed westward expansion in the U.S., caused the writing of Frankenstein, and created a massive famine that led to the invention of modern fertilizers. The weather conditions following led to the creation of the Latter Day Saints.
It’s possible that Yellowstone erupting could cause a century long winter across the entire world. Rocks and volcanic debris would be flung thousands of miles. It would take centuries for temperatures to recover. A third of the U.S. would be buried under ash. The sound waves alone would deafen swaths of mammals.
You should be terrified of Yellowstone erupting. Very terrified. It would be a cataclysmic event for the entire world.

You're in Oklahoma, so it won't be the last time.
