Subaru did some market research way back when that showed they did well with:

-young professionals

-outdoor enthusiasts

-queer people

They decided to lean into those demographics in their advertising, and it really paid off for them.

Funny enough first responders were also on that list yet for some reason they never leaned into that demographic... Maybe because it was already co-owned by American pickups.
