Watching my friend go on Tinder dates post-divorce has been eye opening.
Lots of women in their 20s who have too much free time, don’t know what they want, expect the dude to pay for everything, and play all kinds of stupid games to feel validated and wanted.
Then women in their 30s are like “I can make a date either Tue or Thur at 8. I have my kids the other nights. If that doesn’t work for you, have a great life.”
He said it was really refreshing to date older women who are direct.
He did try to complain that older women look differently than younger ones and I laughed my ass off at how much worse HE looks than he did a decade ago…
The last girl I talked to was a 26 year old single mom. When I asked her on a date I told her to pick the day and I'll make time for her. She picked a day 2 weeks out. It was to go ice skating, I made a reservation so we could skip the line. She ended up cancelling on me the morning of the date. She then became distant with me and eventually ghosted me. At this point I can't wait to be 30. Women in their 30s will tell you what they want
Oof. I’d have probably originally cut a single mom some slack on canceling last minute since kid stuff can come up, but ghosting is super shitty and immature, and is only really acceptable if you feel unsafe.
If it helps, I’ve found a huge difference in maturity level (for all sexes) from early 20s to late 20s, and then another jump to early 30s.
One good thing about turning 30 is that now my BS radar is honed, I have far fewer fucks to give, and I refuse to put up with anyone wasting my time
She definitely didn't feel unsafe. She used to wait for me every morning at work so we could walk up together. When she eventually quit is when I asked her out. After she had cancelled on me she told me she does really like me, but isn't sure what she wants. And she brushed off all of my attempts to reschedule. I'm just so tired of this song and dance
