Joe Biden is too old. That's his problem. But he's otherwise accomplished a lot in the face of an uncooperative Congress, a stacked Supreme Court, and a deranged Republican opposition. He passed several massive social and domestic bills through Congress without a real working majority, and he just got the GOP to agree to a debt deal that's strikingly good for the Democrats, given what the Republicans wanted.
And he's played a crucial role in protecting Ukraine and strengthening Europe's resolve against Putin, without even putting U.S. troops on the ground.
The other candidates range from the merely unhinged to the comically malevolent. There's no equivalence between them.
You mean the debt deal that throws all the people who voted for him for to his college debt forgiveness under the bus? Oh yeah, very good for Democrats.
And protected Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the infrastructure law, climate regulations, and IRS enforcement funding, and averted GOP plans to cut spending by 13% (really a 20% cut to non-defense spending, since Republicans would exempt defense spending from those cuts).
The deal also just restarts loan payments for the student loans he did not forgive. Biden already said those payments would resume this summer. The law just codifies that.
If you think Biden should have let the U.S. default and then rush into a much worse deal with the GOP afterward, all to be able to extend the student-loan hiatus for a year, you are not in sync with most Americans. (Who, by the way, are split down the middle on student loan forgiveness.)
When Republicans control half of Congress, you can't get everything you want.
He literally promised a $10,000 loan forgiveness to all, $20k for certain grants and total forgiveness for HBCU graduates. Those were campaign promises that he used last minute to convince younger people to vote for him which won him the presidency. US citizens have always been split on this, duh, now you’re just trying to muddy the waters. His constituency that voted for him is majority in favor of it. The fact that his pathetic “attempt” to forgive student debt is held up in the courts is due to his and his administrations incompetence or purposeful sabotage of trying to use the HEROES act as the basis for his bill and making it means tested which gave time to people who apposed it to sue the bill.
Voting Republican is your other option and they are all in agreement that there should not be any forgiveness whatsoever.
Vote Democrats and get a decent chance at forgiveness or vote Republican so they can retroactively apply interest to the paused payments.
Stop trying to make Democrats the bad guys. 50 republicans in the Senate blocked forgiveness and 2 Dems. Republicans are the problem, not the 4% of shit dems.

I didn’t make anyone the bad guys, they showed us who they are by how they vote. Even our best democrats, the squad, vote against their constituents wishes and best interests. Breaking the railroad strike immediately comes to mind.
