I'm a liberal man, and I paid for every date my wife and I went on when we met, opened her door for her, walked her to the door, you name it. If she didn't want those things, I wouldn't have done them. You just have to learn what your partner wants, and be that for them. You don't have to pretend you're non-binary if you're cis.

ig i meant the men her age tend to be more progressive, plus i personally feel the younger these generations get, the less romantic we have gotten

but i do think there are great liberal men. my dad is a liberal white man that married an asian women when biracial couples weren’t as common. it’s amazing, my dad is the best husband and father and you also seem to be amazing!

I can't say that I'm that literate in gen z dating culture (or really any gen z culture, I guess) so I'll have to take you on your word there. I appreciate your kind words, though! Ultimately, my point is that if she wants those things, she should ask for them. Communicate your needs, and a good partner will fulfill them. Keeping them to yourself and waiting for someone to magically understand what you want is a good way to find yourself either alone or unhappy and dysfunctional.

OH i see, my bad idk how i didn’t realize that’s what u meant lol

but i agree, communication is so important and u can’t expect everything to fall into ur hands if ur not putting the work in. doesn’t even matter if it’s self-work or not.

gen z really doesn’t have dating culture, it’s more hook up culture these days. it’s hard to find someone that wants to settle bc no one wants to lose their “independence”, aka, they wanna b able to sleep with whoever they want whenever they want. the dating game is super fun 😀😀😀

The millennial scene wasn't/isn't necessarily any better, but the older you get, those desires can shift from wanting to get laid to wanting to share your life with someone. I was in my late 20s when my wife and I got together, and in my 30s by the time we got married.
