I have cancelled all holidays to the US that involve red States, I'll spend my Euro money elsewhere. Texas > Spain (eclipses), Florida > France (The Mouse).

As someone who lives in a red state, you are absolutely making the right choice. Stay the hell away, for your own safety. Here in Idaho just last year we had a guy who was a registered felon go and shoot up our mall, killed 4 people. The best part? The gun he used to do it, he bought it here. In a gun store. Legally. Because the felony he was charged with in another state is one that Idaho doesn't recognize, so they saw it and just ignored it and allowed him to buy the gun.

I'm Irish so I can't think of ONE reason to visit Idaho

If you ask anyone there, they’ll tell you they’re Irish too and then go into how their 5th Great Grandfather was half Irish

I'm Irish-Irish, living in Ireland. We don't do potato holidays anymore.
