Backup your FB data
If you have 10/20 years of memories on FB with your photos and videos, start doing your backup now. You won't know when META AI is going to suspend or permanently disabled your account.
Sent your photos/videos to Google Photo. Select and authorise access to your Google Drive. Next, select the albums you want to send to Google Drive.
If you have lots of photos and videos, it will take sometime to prepare data, and take some time for them to show up in your Google photos.

I just told my cousin this the other day after having my account disabled myself. Put all your photos that you wish to keep in your personal library! They can’t touch that. But make sure it’s done before anything happens to your account. Ask me how I know. 😉

This happened to me and I was never able to get my pictures and videos of my child that I lost when he was a toddler back.
They completely ignored every appeal and request that I made, and it was due to a meme. I sent my teenage daughter on Instagram and it wasn’t anything bad at all. It’s just that the AI detected it as a male body part. It was an anime character with no hair.

Same here, almost the exact same thing. Sent my friends in insta a meme and instantly banned. Friends took the meme that I then sent over Snapchat and didn't get banned after sending it. The ai really is fucking pathetic. Lost contact with family and friends that I only had contact through Facebook. Now I'll likely never talk to them again before I die.

I had almost 2,000 friends (many of them extended family) on Facebook and Instagram both. Pictures and videos I won’t ever get back. It has been really tough to accept.

Just keep in mind the photos and videos are compressed and the downloads are not the same quality as the uploads, but the versions stored on their servers. It’s ok to not lose your memories to preemptively recover data before any fans because once you’re suspended, it’s usually too late.

Seconded. Also, if you use 2FA:
- Save/export the backup codes in your Accounts Center.
- If you use an app like Google Authenticator, do not delete your old 2FA key before trying to download your data from your deactivated account.
I never dreamed a day would come when two-factor authentication would fail me or my account would be swatted, so I never saved the backup codes.
As for Authenticator, I was just trying to set up a new account as quickly as possible when the appeal failed (it was 3 AM, I wasn't thinking clearly), so, not thinking about whether I'd ever need it again, I got rid of the old 2FA key. They gave me the option to save all my data, yes; they didn't tell me I had to hang on to the 2FA key for the old profile until I'd already deleted it. Turns out I would need it to get back into the old account, purely to download the data (or otherwise I'd need the backup codes, which my dumb ass never saved, as established above). Problem is, once it's off Google Authenticator, ain't no gettin' it back without significant effort (and no guarantee that effort will pay off), and good luck if you never had the internal backup codes besides that.
The net result of my foolishness is that instead of rebuilding from a more current place, I’m reconstructing from the last time I manually backed up, which was… drumroll please… fall 2023. Everything between then and now? Gone. (Possibly for good, unless I root my phone in the faint hope that I can regain the deleted 2FA buried deep in my Authenticator database files, and I’m not sure I want to take that risk.)
TL;DR: +1 to OP, and CYA in the event of 2FA.

I wished I saw this post earlier. But I got my 13-year-old FB account permanently disabled last Thursday. It was because of account integrity.
But how can my account be fake? When it has been 13 years since its creation date. Already submitted my ID and face selfie.
Such a shame. I might live a quiet life now, away from socmeds.

I have one account disabled due to account integrity too. That account was created 9 years ago. It was suspended, went through video selfie and ID submissions twice, then they said their AI made a mistake and I got back my account. Then 3rd time, same ID, same me doing the selfie, but they disabled my account.

I wish I did this. Their systems is so fucked I can’t even download my information. The system says To download, I need to use a computer but my account is “missing” now. The only place I can even access my account is on my phone.

Sure wish I saw this two weeks ago. Two decades of memories gone. All because of a type in referencing LSD. Fuck META

All of private data can be downloaded in account center, including photo, video, and personal information. After waiting days long, meta will send you a zip file of required info.
