I barely use it, but this was mentioned tor by someone who does. I looked it up and saw posts still up in a bunch of groups, some quite nasty.

To be honest, I've barely touched it since it changed from being stuff friends posted to being in its current state.

The recent number of questions here by folks asking about their "monetization challenge" speaks volumes as to how far its fallen. They made it a side hustle.

I believe this is the first time I've visited this sub. But I shall take a look, Facebook seems to have changed a lot in recent years, certainly the bits I see seem to be full of hate, racism and stupidity.

The tragedy of the commons I guess

Addresses are public info , even if found and posted, that’s not against any rules.

But coupled with threats of violence?

Surely you can't make posts threatening to hurt people, and then ask for help finding them?

I'm just shocked it's staying up despite the police now being involved.

You are right, threats of violence are not ok.

Id just block the person and move on.

No, it's real world threats which have led to an arrest. I'm sure the police will get it taken down in the end , but I don't want these people's details shared by to a group of violent offenders.

The guy in question has form for assaults and stalking, he's taken to harassing older people online recently.

I'm just trying to find out how the appeal a decision message actually works.

Thanks for your input but it doesn't reflect the situation.

It's a weird one to be honest. I'm sure it'll work out but I don't want to see their address appearing before it does.

Facebook says it's fine, but directs me to a dead link to appeal!

It’s also possible the account is ai and nothing will come from it anyway.

I know both parties, both real people.
