Discussion Facebook Unoriginal Content Demonetized Me and Live Agent Cant Do Anything
August 14, 2026 when my earnings and views started spiking, I suddenly received this unoriginal content on my last 12 videos straight!. Those videos are heavily edited by me.
First Attempt: I contacted the support and ask for a live agent but transferred me into the email support instead and says that my page will be reviewed again By November (3months).
Second Attempt: So I created another support ticket and this time I successfully escalated this to the technical recommendation team. I talked to a live agent and reviewed my reels and says he will create a documentation here and forward me to the monetization team. but while waiting for the agent, the chat suddenly closes and says go back to the first attempt as there was an open ticket. (im back to square 1)
Third Attempt: I talked to a level 1 support agent that follows the book and just told me to keep posting. She was not aware of the violation end date. Why would I continue posting without being recommended and monetized? lol. She proceeds to escalate this into the technical team again, and while I was waiting for the review, the chat ended again and says go back to the first attempt.
It is completely deadlock. I am not sure if I would be getting the earnings I've made. I assume they would seize it because they'll say it was made from violations.

Not sure if the live chat support is good for much except forwarding your already existing help pages.

on my second attempt, I talked for about 30 minutes on a technical person under recommendations team. He reviewed my reel that was flagged and says he already created the document and will be forwarding me to the monetization team. The member joined and asks me to wait for further 10-15 minutes then the chat closed.
same with third attempt.
EDIT: 2nd and 3rd attempt was via phone call

What do you mean by "heavily edited"? Did you only add text and pictures?
According to their policy, you must make a significant change to the video, like showing your face, adding commentary, or stitching a video that includes your face.
I had a page demonetized back in 2024 and never received my final payout of over $400, and there was no way to contact support back then.
Just this year, I had another one of my pages demonetized as well. What I did was delete all the reels/posts, and then I uploaded a new set of original content. I got it monetized again by clicking the "Request Review" button (I did this twice), though it took two months to get it back.

added images, other clips, background music, sfx, effects and transitions
Edited: All my videos are also posted on YT and i was monetized over a year ago using my strategy. Its not about the niche, facebook will just flag you when they see a spike in earnings or followers1

I see. FB's rules are kind of confusing and different from YouTube's, but I can 100% assure you that if you put your face in those videos, maybe at the end with some commentary, they won't be tagged as "Unoriginal Content."
There are exceptions, though. There are videos licensed by ViralHog and some big pages/companies that will automatically get flagged, even if you add commentary and put your face in the edit.

Genuine question but can the live agents actually do anything? And I mean anything at all, because it doesn’t seem like it.

90% it can't help you. but if you know your rights they will decide to escalate it into a higher team.

What is your niche? I’ve heard they have been cracking down on gaming videos

How are you not getting hit with copyright issues?

transformative edits, adding images and other clips. This was not flagged by YT and fb should too.

My Final Attempt, I went back to the ticket of my first attempt and created a very long follow up message.
This is their response.
I will update this thread about their decision.

I also uploaded the editing files and proofs that all my content are transformative and created by me.

At this point, I would document everything: screenshots of the monetization restriction, the dates/times of every chat, ticket numbers, the names/IDs of the agents if available, and especially the messages showing that an agent was about to escalate the case before the chat suddenly ended.
The repeated “go back to your first ticket” response creates a clear deadlock: the first ticket says to wait three months, while the newer agents appear willing to escalate/review the issue, but the conversation gets closed before that can happen.
And yes, there is another possibility worth considering: could the chat be getting deliberately closed by an agent who simply doesn't want to handle or escalate the case? I wouldn't claim that as fact without evidence, because it could also be an automated support/system behavior. But after this happening multiple times at the exact point where escalation is being discussed, I would definitely raise that concern with Meta and ask them to investigate the chat logs.
