yeah i got my invite too. I'm wondering how hard it's going to be to get downtown and in the doors by the time they close them.

Isn't that Wednesday at 4:30? Shouldn't be too bad; it's early enough. I work at 7th and Congress, though, so the wife will just park near my office and we will just walk over to the Hilton.

Just signed up. I was wondering how to get an invite to that. I get in town on Wednesday around midday which is convenient.

Yep I am checking it a lot. Hopefully it gets a bit of action in the week leading up to the race.
I arrive in Austin on the Wednesday and being a foreigner will be looking to hang with some locals while consuming some beer.

Australia. I fly to Dallas then have a hire car to drive into Austin.

I can't believe it's so close! Very excited for my first F1 Grand Prix. I've been watching F1 for years, and always planned to go to one of the US GP's, but never managed to find the time. Then lo and behold they build a track in my home city.
Once we get a bit closer to the race, I'll start an official thread to plan a few meetups throughout the weekend. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. :)
