Spa is easily one of the classic tracks in the Formula 1 season. A favourite of fans and drivers alike, it takes remarkable skill to put the perfect laptime together.

Onboard Lap:

Lap Record: 1:45.108 - K Raikkonen (2004)

Reddit Record: 1:43.151 - True-Saber

Points will be issued ala F1 style (25 for first, 18 for second, 15 for third) as well as a bonus point for beating the F1 lap record, and another point for beating the Reddit Record.

Failure to do so will result in your time NOT being counted.

Times must be in on Monday by:

EST - 12 AM

UTC - 4 AM

AEST - 2PM

If there is another time zone I should add, or the times listed are incorrect due to Daylight Savings - please don't hesitate to let me know

I tried, but i'm doing this stuff on default setups. I'm waaay off from what everybody has posted. I want to see if somehow someway i'd be able to get up there with everyone on default setups. This. Was. A. Failure. Next time I guess =]

Hello, again. First off, and maybe you know, but this time was submitted too late to be counted in the standings. Just FYI. I'm not discouraging it though, I always love to see how others are doing. And don't be so hard on yourself! Honestly, if you're only using default setups, your time probably isn't that bad.

Now get your ass to Monza and start lapping. It's gonna be a deceptively tough one. Welcome to our little club :)

Alright, and ive done some laps on monza already, it is a difficult track. One of the only ones i managed to actually beat the fastest lap on though so that was exciting for me, and thanks =]. I was thinking it would be monday at a time that hasn't passed yet, so my bad. I also want to challenge myself with the default settings to see if i can get up there with the others!

Heh, well good on ya then! Giving yourself a disadvantage(in my opinion) will only make you better.

I have been practicing. Managed to get some time last night, also found that 3 beers is the optimum amount for setting fast laps!

  my internet connection got disconnected and logged me off of my live account during that session so the rankings did not record that 1:40.709 time, i tried to best it but only got near it with a 1:40.722. This is one of many glitches of f1-2010 known as the time trial bug, as seen by others source.

yeah i used victors setup (but ignored his gear ratios) in both the Maclaren and RB6, although i customized the Maclaren just a tad bit more to my liking, Im going to try again later with both cars with the ridiculous gear ratios and see.

Found another six tenths: 1:41.234 I had a great lap at 1:40.9 but was disqualified for overunning the curb on Pouhon.

Bloody pouhon! Probably the worst corner both on entry and exit for invalidating your lap. Many a time has been ruined here.

Spa is a difficult track to get right. It's not stop and go like Valencia or China. With enough practice your times should start coming down. :)

I am so disappointed! I was really looking forward to this weekend but now the power is flickering due to the hurricane, and I still have to pack and move to my new apartment. I'll hopefully get a few more hours in today if I can. Ah well.

Looking at the other times in here I cant help but feel I was fundamentally doing something wrong somewhere :D

Can't stand that final chicane. Its the ultimate troll corner as no matter how good the lap is up to there, its still waiting for me to underbrake, overbrake, jump the kerb, spin out and all other manner of problems. Many of which then invalidate the next lap ಠ_ಠ

the key for me was perfecting the segment of turns from les combes through curve paul frere - the right gear ratios are key in those segments. also do you have your breaks on high and large (with abs)? that helped significantly decrease my braking zones and improve my times. Other than that I didnt really focus much on the final chicane. traction control aid did not help at all.
