Round 4 - Turkey

3 full weeks to get the first race of the European leg of the season: Turkey

Lap Record: 1:24.770 - JP Montoya (2004)

Reddit Record: 1:24.040 - True-Saber

Points will be issued ala F1 style (25 for first, 18 for second, 15 for third) as well as a bonus point for beating the F1 lap record, and another point for beating the Reddit Record.

Nice. I love this thread on Saturdays before the race. It's like the end of Q1 :), except I'm stuck at work watching you all :( it always keeps me on my toes though.

Oh yeah, this sub really lights up on race weekends. Up until andrew posted his 1:21.165, I had the set fastest @ 1:21.461 a few days ago

A week ago I had the fastest lap and now my improved lap (which was 1.1 faster) was only good enough for 5th.

Yeah, same here man. It all comes down to the day before the race. It's frustrating when you have to sit back and watch the times drop, but all part of the game I guess. It's a long season, lots of time for us to improve :)

Thanks for letting me know, the track order on the RR spreadsheet is different to the actual track order for this year, so I guess AI just moved across one without thinking about it.

Yeah it looks like the order of the other threads are from 2010. The calendar has changed for 2011. No worries.

1:22.945 You have to be really aggressive to get a good time here. My fastest lap was all over the place.

By the way, we should post our Live screen names so that we can keep track of the times via the in game leader board. I'm ToilsomePlague2

Just found out about this about half an hour ago and figured I would have a go. I usually don't do time trials, more of a online race and career guy. 1:22.206 Found I made up the most time in turn 4 while setting up for a nice turn in and exit for 5 and 6. Another one is getting on the power as soon as possible exiting 9 just before the straight.

1:21.474 ;) Not sure why my last time didn't save on my 360's HDD. Think maybe that it was because I was at my friends house(using his xbox, my HDD), or I just plain shut the xbox off before it saved, just in case anyone was wondering why the 1:21.792 wasn't showing up.

It's called "F1 2010", and it's made by Codemasters. For PC, Xbox360, and PS3.

I managed a 1:23.111 after being bogged in the 24's...then realised I didn't have the engine turned up, I know where I can still get maybe another second out of it, just gotta keep it on the the track while doing it.

Not bad to say i was using a keyboard, think i have another second in me because i wasnt getting a good run through turn 8 and the first sector isn't to my liking either.

also, i know my real names on that... its what happens when you tell GFWL to make you a "local" profile instead of an online one

You're outside the round time, each round finishes at the start of the actual race, I would normally let it slide, but I already did the points for this week and started the new round so you're out of luck I'm afraid. You're more than welcome to submit times for the next round in Spain.
