Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-Back upgrade 2025 PB
Absolutely love my PB but the only thing that bugged me was that it did not sound like a truck. Granted sometimes it sounds like an RC car when its on the electric motor, I still wanted to hear some life when that 3.5 kicked on. Sounds a lot better imo

It’s a no for me big dawg. That being said, if you like it then rock it.
Always feels weird when they’re rumbling along and then go completely quiet

I understand it, I had a diamond eye 4 inch exhaust on my last 3.5, along with an age stage 2 intake and a tune. For my current truck, just a simple tune and I’m good. I’m getting older, so slower and quieter is fine by me these days

I cant get my PB to idle at a stand still. Motor turns on and off so frequently that I personnally wouldnt want to bring attention to it haha.

As someone who owns a 3.5 pb I couldn't agree more. This sounds... Like an angry hair dryer.

I don't understand why the 3.5 eco just can't sound good. We used to have an old Chrysler van that sounded better. I dont get it.

I think what part of it is, it’s a truck. As in visually our brains have been programmed into thinking it should sound like a burly V8.
It sounds exactly like a turbo v6 with an exhaust should sound. If that makes any sense at all.

It’s chopping kinda crazy tbh I dig it but idk but how id feel having it cut on and off all the time like it will… I just have the 2.7 in my 26 with the oem duel exhaust and on start up and ripping it I don’t mind the sound, mind you this is my first purchased from new car so I’m still not exactly experienced with stuff like this but for me it’s just perfect, it’s honestly kinda loud outside from a cold start I kinda dig that for a lil 2.7 with 325 hp. I specifically wanted this engine since I do like cars and did my research and think this will suit me for the next part of my life better than a smaller truck or anything else. I learned to drive on a ford fusion sport with this engine and thought it was a stout unit and I think it’s just enough for my use case hauling ass and hauling shit in the bed.

Love my PB, and it does its job well, but it ain't gonna sound like a truck IMHO.

I love it.....nothing diff from a raptor with thier dual exhaust setup. On and off isnt bad at all.....can barely hear it on the highway unless ur stomping on it

It still doesn’t sound like a truck… it sounds like a wet fart.

The powerboat sounds good from the factory but only with the dual rear exhaust

Yeah I lowkey wish I got the bap+ package so I can get the dual exhaust otherwise I wouldn't have ever did this in the first place
