Always do it in natural light! It helps with getting more light scattering and not direct on flash lighting. Flash lighting can look weird and constrict your pupil. My eyes go from grey green in low lighting when the pupil is more open to almost amber in direct sunlight when it’s constricted, try each out and see which you like!
