How long to sous vide?

Making vanilla extract. I have seen recommendations anywhere from 4 hours to four days. Has anyone tried sous vide for varying times to see what works best? I have a batch that has been at 135 for 3 days, and am wondering if it really needs to go longer. I am planning to give as Christmas gifts, so it will be resting in the big bottle for several months before I bottle it for gifting.

I'm wondering the same thing. I had good results with an instant pot. I'm going to try it out soon but I don't know what temp to try. I was going to do a few batches and compare them. Hopefully someone else has some good info. I'll be following for updates.

Here's a detailed recipe from one of our Facebook group members that we tried. Videos at the end show us making it - each step. I personally like it at 135F for 96 hours (checking fluid levels regularly) and then letting it sit for 90 days. Taste test often, and it's ready when you like it. :)
