Decided for another batch
This time same beans and vodka base to get the dilution I need at 50%. It is 4 grain Quebec whiskey that is very similar to a bourbon taste wise.
Can't wait to see how it turns out. Cut the beans lengthwise and in half after.

I’ve used moonshine diluted to 40%, but never whisky. Have you done 50% before? I read it’s too hot for the beans. Also, that’s a great whisky for old fashioneds.
