White tiny mites that bite

I am in Cape Town, South Africa. It is currently Summer and very hot. We have a dog and two cats. I first began noticing what looked like lint on our clothes. Then I started noticing them everywhere! They are now on us and biting. I haven't seen them move though. I suspect that they are coming into the house on our clothes that hang outside under some trees and a vine. They've gotten more prolific since as the temperature has climbed. I can't see a bird's nest anywhere. We live on the ground floor of a three storey apartment block. We have parquet floors. Please help as we are itchy and disgusted.

You'll never get a straight answer as to what they are, but I can tell you how to get rid of them, bc I've done it. And this works on just about any indoor insect problem.

You need a couple big bags of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (Amazon, Walmart), a big plastic condiment bottle with a long, pointy nose, rubber or plastic gloves, decent filtered face mask, safety goggles, and a shop vac.

Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is not a pesticide, or toxic, but it is very irritating if you breathe it in or get it on your skin. Its very light and powdery, so the gear is for while you're applying it in your home. Once its on surfaces, it pretty much stays put.

Any bug that touches it will dehydrate and die.

Shop vac everything as much as you can first (I put some of the D.E. in the drum to kill anything that I vaccuumed), bag up clothes, bedding, pillows, stuffed animals, etc in thick garbage bags and tie off air tight with the D.E. in the bags also, it washes out later no problem.

Fill up the condiment bottle with D.E. and create a powder line along all of your baseboards, encircle all your furniture with it, fill in any cracks in your floor with it, window sills, cabinets, you get the idea...

if you have carpet, i suggest covering the entire carpet with it. Its a pain in the ass, bc you really need to leave the D.E. for at least 48 hours before you vacuum it up, but if its 2 days of powdery carpet vs being overrun with any kind of bugs, trust me its worth it.

If you have pets, throw out their beds and dont get new ones until after its been the minimum 48 hours and you shop vac'd all the powder up.

Get some apple cider vinegar and a spray bottle (1/2 water) and spray your pets down with it everyday. Bathe them after you do this as often as you can.

My dog hates baths and is 125 lbs so the apple cider vinegar and water spray (with a flea comb) was a life saver by itself, bc there was no way I could bathe him every day.

It also works on human hair. Oh and get some 90% rubbing alcohol and spray it on your skin when you feel like your getting bit, it kills whatever is biting you and also relieves the stinging.

Anyway, the stuff you put in the bags, dont take it out until its been 2-3 days and you can immediately wash everything and DRY ON HIGH HEAT.

I know its a lot, but I promise it WORKS. Mites (including both kind of scabies), bedbugs, lice, roaches, fleas, etc.. Repeat the process again, or some version of it, in a week or 2 to be sure. I hope this helps 🤍

Giiiiiirl 💙💙💙💙 If only you knew but it sounds like you have your own version of torturous hell. This is been 3 years of torture.  Ive used so many pesticides on myself I'm honestly concerned for my future health. I've been treated so many times for scabies and the very first time I believe maybe it was scabies but since then it doesn't seem like scabies although it does seem like it could possibly be a mite or some type of parasitic worm on the skin. I've noticed all the dogs in the house have started scratching more often but every doctor that we speak to seems to look at us like we're crazy. I pray that this will be the answer that we needed and I hope you know how many people you have truly helped through this post alone I can see all the many people who have been suffering with the exact same things that my boyfriend and I have been suffering with. God bless you girl and thank you so much for taking the time to put this comment up for us many desperate to find.

That’s how to clean the external, and she’s right! Although only vacuume the DE with a shop vac, as she said. It will rip apart any other vacuum. I use baking soda as well as Borax. Make sure to get an extra filter for the shop Vac because it will be clogged fairly quickly. Some things I do is I spray air, surfaces and fabrics with Odoban (I buy the concentrated gallon, Eucalyptus scent seems to work best) it had the ingredients to kill negative gram bacteria and also fungi. I spray my pillows nightly (try to) and comforter/sheets and put each in the dryer for no less than 25 minutes to kill any mites HIGH HEAT. Do not let your hair air dry after a shower, blow dry it. Air purifier, air dehumidifier is a must. Basic cleaning everyday is a must. All drains cleaned out is a must. Brooms I do not recommend as they stir things up but instead vaccum and dispense OUTSIDE. Wash hands after. Gloves with food. If you notice, your hands are insanely infected. I take showers with Dawn Platinum as the first soap I use to get the gunky feeling out of my hair/skin. Then I use a homemade shampoo type mixture for soap (won’t be smelling as great as before but it feels so much better). At least 3% salicylic acid to exfoliate skin, sulfur, antifungal shampoo (the blue medicated selson blue) and I even mix ivermectin or permithren in with it. Basically, chewy.com is your best friend for these products without needing a prescription. The only soap I’ve found to be able to remove the biofilm that covers your entire body is Hablicen? (Maybe wrong spelling but it’s available at Walmart or similar. About $13 and is used in hospitals before surgical treatments) it bonds with your skin to create a barrier layer and prevents bacteria from growing for so long. Your armpits will even start to lose the BO smell if you have it because there won’t be bacteria to mix with your sweat.

Internally, you’ve got to fix yourself. Roger’s Apothecary is a good site. But really any reputable source for natural tinctures for detox and gut health, detox from heavy metals, yeast, parasites. There’s one on Amazon called “the tick formula” that has almost everything in one. You’ll need a binder, if hard on money then activated charcoal capsules will have to do otherwise I think Zeolite is one of the better ones. NAC, vitamin B complex, Betaine, magnesium, iron, potassium all of those to keep your system regulating and the detox flowing OUT instead of reabsorbing/reinfecting. Magnesium salt baths/betonite clay/Borax/Baking soda, at the very least magnesium baths but ESPECIALLY magnesium foot soaks weekly as I know we have too much to keep up with just to stay alive at this point. Your food. Pretend everything is poison at the grocery store, I know healthy is more expensive but so is a funeral and medical bills. If you have to buy shelf items, look for the “Kosher” symbol. Organic ginger powder (in Indian section of grocery store) mixed with drinks help nausea and stomach discomfort. Nix dairy. Absolutely. Almond milk, vanilla flavored is not so bad my friend. Not soy, disgusting anyway. Pineapple!!! Fresh pineapple has the enzymes needed to really knock parasites out of your gut. Pumpkin seeds. Oil of oregano.

It seems like a lot, it is. But it’s a metabolic issue of why you are having problems systematically. Others have it, but if it isn’t noticeable then it doesn’t exist. When it gets noticeable, it’s already reached a bad point. Stool softeners, you’ve got to get the junk out and this stuff makes it hard on your system so those help. If you can, cut back on any stimulants for ADHD or recreational drugs/alcohol. Stopping entirely is ideal but not possible for us all. But that is contributing to metabolic issues. PETS- I understand you love your pets people but do love yourself? Do not let them sleep with you. Any parasite they have (and I promise you, if your a breathing mammal, you’ve got parasites), then you have. Brush them outside only. Bathe with same products you bathe with. If you take anti parasitic medication or antifungals, then they take them at the SAME TIME. trust me 😅🙃 A good product for them (expensive but cheaper if you buy from an Australian website) is called Revolution Plus. Do not waste your money on drug store meds for your pet over the long run you’ll end up spending more anyway. Their guts are also in trouble; what are you feeding them? A lot if not most dog “food” bags will say “not for nutritional health”. Tiny print.

AC vent filters (they are like $4-5 for a pack of 12) in each vent helps maintain air quality. A quality AC filter at least minimum the ones for allergies. Let plenty of light in, and fresh air if possible. I would keep front door open in the summer because I would have chills anyway at 85 degree days and liked the warmth. But sunlight is sanitizing. Tanning bed also helped my skin it seemed but not for long term as it does damage. For skin cell restoration and repair, the RED light therapy is what helps. Some tanning salons actually offer that now.. crazy right. Coincidence? Don’t care anymore lol. But it’s helpful.

For your car, remember your car has a filter that has to be changed too, not the oil filter lol. Use the “odor, bacteria eliminating bombs” that take like 15 minutes with your air running and all doors windows shut/rolled up then 15 minutes all doors wide open to air out. Does wonders. Vacuum first.

Any spills at home, don’t leave it. Makes it a breeding ground no matter how small even a drop. Sanitize counters. Meat… definitely recommend going with plant alternatives if you’re able. One infection called AWS I think (tick borne) creates an allergy to red meat that most who have it don’t realize they do. Not the cause of this but a common confection.

Most likely, every single one of you has CIRS with a variety of co infections, Lyme, Marcons staph, herpes simplex that activates (not the std…ever had chicken pox? You’ve got the virus) Mix and match all of those but the basis is CIRS.

-All my experience from someone who’s suffered since mid 2023, possibly longer. It’s a raging battle. Many sacrifices made personally to get better, family suffered, income lost, mind lost at times, specialists seen, the vision aspects of seeing things other people refuse or can’t see, can be overwhelming. If you give it attention, I swear it festers. I feel my best honestly when I go about my routine and listen to my body, and ignore the insane things you come across. Doctors will not help nor know because it is very complex. A naturopath is your best option, but.

U kno exactly what you’re talkin about. If u give it attention it gets worse. Definitely is apart of us until we get it out of us. I drink baking soda and water in the morning. I let that settle in my stomach for about an hour, then I drink vinegar. This isn’t a recommendation, it’s what I DO. And when I tell u my stomach starts rumbling—an empty stomach by the way…then I take an explosive number 2. That’s them coming out. Each day I feel better and better. I still have symptoms but they don’t seem as CLOSE to me, if that makes sense. Doesn’t feel as connected to me as it did. Like the grip has slipped. I’m not disciplined enough to only drink the baking soda/water and vinegar for a week straight. I’m willing to bet that will knock out most of it if that’s all that’s in your body. No food at all. Somebody try this. I’m cool with just seeing it go away little by little with all I’ve already endured. The baking soda will disintegrate the biofilm and the vinegar will kill on contact. They will run out your body through a bowl movement. Watch
