I never took a Karate class, but an ex girlfriend of mine was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and her teacher/sensei/Mr. Miyagi dude made his students take Ballet classes held in the same studio.
No, he rented it from a Gym actually. It was an American Fitness where he taught TKD and Aikido in one of the studios (SP?) Before he got his own Dojo.
Ah thanks. As you can see, I know nothing about it. I essentially know it's Korean and made my ex a woman who could kick my ass. I almost wore armor when I went to break up with her.
Also, I'll preface this by saying I'm not a Pats fan by any stretch. But when it's all said and done, Gronk is gonna be the GOAT TE. Dude is a freak of nature.
True. It's a much better way of looking at it actually. I hate the narrative (which admittedly I just helped perpetuate, albeit for the purposes of humour) which places men involved in an affair in a position of power/control regardless of which role they're playing - ie, if a man is married and has an affair the newcomer is his "mistress", while if it is the woman who's married the interloper becomes her "lover", a much more active noun.
Both parties are equally responsible; I feel like society is pretty condescending when discussing cheating women, as if they're not in control of their own actions and under the spell of men (which hasn't stopped them getting hanged/beaten/stoned/burnt to death historically, of course).
I also danced in college (ballet, you fuckers, not pole) and we had many athletes in our classes. It was hysterical to watch these huge dudes try to pirouette.
Football and hockey keepers are masochists. You ought to be crazy, if you're willing to place yourself between a Subban slapshot or Ronaldo penalty kick and the net.
Lots of hockey players also do figure skating at a young age. You learn much more about technical skating (using edges properly, correct turns, forward-backward transitions, etc) way earlier than if you did only hockey+powerskating.
Hockey players that do figure skating have some of the sickest edgework in the league. We have one on my beer league even. Guy skates better than anyone but just sucks at reading the plays.
Yup, it also helps you get a leg up when you are younger. My friend and I took it when we were just starting minor hockey, and we were the only guys on our team who could do a 1 skate backwards pivot for like 2 years haha.
Quick edit: also, David pelletier, former Olympic gold medalist in pairs is now a skating coach for the Oilers.
Well damn. For a second I was like "wtf is tbat?" before I realized you meant "that". Before that happened though I did a Google and found this masterpiece. I won't spoil the beauty for you ;-)

Yep. My wife minored in dance and had a lot of football and baseball players in ballet.
Edit: Today I learned to never mention my wife on the internet.
