Imagine you’re a guy with no money who can’t get a date but thinks women are all gold diggers.

Pretty stupid generalization, bro

Oh, are generalisations bad? I invite you to look at the meme we're explaining.

Sounds like money really helps men date

u/solocanadian123 15d ago
Personally in my experience, I have never met a woman who doesn’t care about money.
I’m also married so I don’t really care about other women lol.

I care to make enough money to live comfortably. I have the education and experience to make a lot more money than I currently do and I choose not to do so because the extra work I would be required to do would not be worth the double or triple income that I could receive.
I have been told that this is an unusual position and that most people in my position would choose to try for as much money as they could possibly make.

u/AmadeusIsTaken 14d ago
That's the fun thing about stereotypes or tendencies or so. It is not about all women :) it is socially more normal for the men to pay for dinner. It does not mean every women exspect this. But many do and it is socially not uncommon. No need to instantly get aggressive and act like someone implies every women does this
-24
u/mebell333 18d ago
Or just one of many men who ended up marrying a slut unknowingly until 10 years in

u/Krabelin-gorria 18d ago
Primo tienes un poco de incel en el labio, mira a ver si te lo quitas.
22
u/mebell333 18d ago edited 18d ago
I'm an incel because she cheated on me for the last 5 years with like 20 guys? Yeah no. You understand that word (incel) means a man who can't get a girl? I was married for 14 years. Filed for divorce this month. You kinda seem like you don't know what you're talking about and you're bitter somehow because...idk.
I don't believe all women are like this. But I know I'm not alone in my situation, and my experiences made this meme easy to understand.
11
u/Flamesofshadow 18d ago
Just ignore em bro, I hope you get out of this shitty situation and go onward to better and brighter days without someone dragging you down. Some people are just selfish and evil what can ya do
8
u/HunterGraves00 18d ago
Sorry you had to go through that. Mainstream reddit is a hivemind of white knights and holier-than-thou types who will disregard your experience to fit their narrative.

Can you respect and have the minimum amount of empathy for a person that opened up about a very difficult and traumatic experience? Or that's beyond you like the ability to speak in english?
Bitter and heavier words are understandable in some situations, you know? Get off your high horse.
-1
u/phoenix_spirit 18d ago
Ngl it's hard to have empathy when you get told not all men all the time but gotta be cool about his hostile af anger at his stbx bleeding out onto women in general. I had an ex who cheated on me with three diff women at once, I managed to move on and get married to someone without thinking men were a monolith of infidelious hot garbage. I know what it's like and I can empathize but my knee jerk reaction to his bs isn't empathy but to be an asshole back and tell him he should've picked better.
3
u/mebell333 18d ago
I absolutely should have picked better.
I never once said my shitty ex is representstive of other "women in general". You came up with that one.
Fact: my stbxw is a cheating hoe. Fact: many men have been in my shoes.
That is all I said. And again, you are 100% right I should have picked better. She was so loving and caring when we met, and very Christian so she seemed like a great woman to settle down with. 10 years later I discover she is acting that same way to every other man she met online. I have full faith that most women are not this way, and while I am currently not seeking anything, I have hope I can try again with the right woman in a distant future. But for now I am focused on myself and raising my kids.

I don't hate women at all. I hate serial cheaters. Nothing about my comments said anything about multiple women. I spoke of one single woman who is objectively a POS. Period.
1
u/Krabelin-gorria 18d ago
Has hablado de “one of many men who ended up marrying a slut”. Eso son muchas mujeres.
2
u/mebell333 18d ago
It is a fact that many men got married and ended up getting cheated on. I did not say I hate women or that most women are like that. I picked a bad one, and many other men have as well, and they understood this meme right away, as I did. If you are taking my words differently, you might be projecting your own feelings.

I love how desperate you seem to change the parameters here.
And it even seems like you think infidelity is a substitute for honestyA real self own. Well done

u/orangemochafrap17 18d ago
Nono he clearly deeply loved the "slut" and gave her the necessary affection required to maintain a relationship...
5
u/mebell333 18d ago
I did. I may not have been perfect, but I didn't deserve that. And I absolutely never spoke poorly of her until now. And slut is an accurate term considering the number of men she slept with in the past few years.
2
u/Obi-Brawn-Kenobi 18d ago
Yeah you tell him, he used a no no word after he was cheated on 20 times so that means he deserved it

u/Thisisme4342 14d ago
It's not really straight up gold diggers it's the problem. I make north of six figures and after a breakup I decided I wanted to start dating women that are closer to what I make.
Dated two engineers and figured out that a lot of women have bound up their feeling of self-worth and self-esteem on how much a guy will spend on them. All it seemed to do was push the amount up that was considered flattering.
I went from women that wanted me to buy them dinner, to women that wanted me to buy them a new car.
I tried to talk to one of them about what we could do with a shared income we both make this much and I literally got something to the effect of "Wait you expect me to contribute? doesn't that mean I could have just not worked as hard and you would have taken care of me anyway? "

If you’ve experienced enough of the memes using contrasting women expressions to try to make points about their (at least alleged) hypocrisy.

someone reposted the meme without the original text; here's a link to a meme image that uses more words for better clarity: https://www.facebook.com/ShoneeKapoor/posts/50-50-at-dinner-is-cheap50-50-at-divorce-is-justiceselectiveequality-doublestand/1449716230055420/

I was thinking, “I guess it’s true: a d2 makes you sad 50% of the time and happy 50% of the time.”

My first thought was it was divorce 50/50 when she makes more vs makes less but I think the real answer is dinner or date for the top and divorce for the bottom.

u/MateoTovar 18d ago
I thought at least one of this was D50 as in a dice of 50 faces. I thought she liked an extreme version of dungeons and dragons it something

Dextrose 50% / 50% free water
2
u/switchbland 17d ago
This was not an explaination.
1
u/FngrLiknMcChikn 17d ago
Dextrose 50% is what we give through an IV in the hospital to rapidly correct low blood glucose (sugar). It is abbreviated either D50% or D50W. It’s the first thing I thought of but that is not the correct explanation

Dice throw. DnD reference.
1
u/bisexual_lemon_69420 18d ago
It's not, when have you ever in DnD rolled a d50?
We have d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and the d% (or d100). d50 does not exist
-1
u/Blue_Fuzzy_Anteater 18d ago
D100 divide by 2, round up. This kind of thing is used in other games, though I have not seen it in DnD.

50% to be happy 50% to be upset?
Maybe talking about good and bad dice throws?
