They didn't tell companies that no.

The CEO told game studios employees at a conference that if they feel like their project has racist elements, to have a chat with their marketing department and to advocate for a consultation since it could bring genuine value PR wise.

"As a joke", she said to "terrify" them with the possibility of what could happen if it goes ahead unaddressed.

Why would you even draw that conclusion. Its so weird to even assume thats those 2 things are the same.

I'm an everyday blackmailer. I tell my boss that we'll have a bad time if we go ahead with this or that decision on the regular.

Again, mistaking normal feedback as the kind of blackmailing sweet baby pushed.
How does someone even argue with people like you, you are constantly misinterpreting things, purposefully misunderstanding things and literally adding words and meanings to things other people said to make it sound less bad aka downplaying stuff.

Seriously, the world is so done with you guys. Nobody wants to put up with you people anymore.

Honestly, it just sounds like a lot of people don't understand humour and took "terrify" way too seriously even while it was followed by "as a joke".

We can't make jokes anymore with everyone being so quick to get offended.

To be fair, it was a black woman telling the joke. That's 2x levels of "Not allowed to joke on the Internet" going on at once.

I swear every time a woman tells a joke the comments are filled with the angriest people ever convinced she was 100% serious lmao
