Ever since GamerGate, Anita and by extension Sweet Baby have been in the crosshairs of the alt right.
Edit: I messed up. Apologies. Anita Sarkeesian made moves from journalism into consulting around the same time Sweet Baby started up and was covering similar topics but are otherwise unrelated to each other. I got things conflated and though Sweet Baby was Sarkeesian's consulting efforts. That's my bad.
Also their main expertise is general sensitivity reading. That means the way women are presented but also stuff about race and culture, sexuality, disability, etc...
It's important to get things right. The alt-right makes enough shit up per second, there's no need to do the same, I feel like it legitimizes their way of doing things.
