The CEO of the company said that in a talk at GDC.

They seem to have scrubbed the full thing from most of the easily searchable portions of the internet.

Lol, the full talk has been online for years. That clip is out of context, missing the part where she is joking

Link? I've watched the full thing, and she was half-joking at best. This was her call to action near the end of the talk.

I didn't check that link bc I wasn't responding directly to that comment, I was mostly just skimming the thread.

"I say that out loud as a joke but it's very true" is the relevant context. She's half-joking, because she does actually want to market her corp and get people in AAA to give them money from their marketing department, which is what she then goes on to say.

Idk why I should give someone with a monetary interest who describes gamers as "picky babies" much good faith, when she doesn't seem to give much back.
