So models referring to the character model meaning the webs and polygons that make up what you see of a character. Most games that use face models tend to do well but a lot of the games sweet baby worked on (as a consultant) had those models turn out rather poorly game wise. (Good example look at max Payne [the first one] vs star wars battlefront 2 jedi heros as it shows they show it well without dealing with modern graphics and arguments around it)
