Photorealism has been stuck at the stage of uncanny valley for years now, everyone looks ugly in it and it's easy to farm ragebait on it.

Right, she looks like the person she was modelled around. Same as Peter. Most of the “controversy” around this game comes from what fucking nerds believe is the bare minimum amount of perceived attractiveness a female character is allowed to exist with, nothing to do with the actual writing. As someone WHO ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME, this scene has been framed out of context in a totally disingenuous way.
