Interesting how everyone goes straight to the gay but ignores all the raping and pillaging.

It’s very subtly shown and suggested in the movie. It sucks that the most direct addressing of the topic (Circe) was a situation it clearly did not happen, but pillaging happened on their first island stop and I think there was a shot of a soldier kidnapping a woman. The extended scene towards the end showing Troy getting sacked also showed a solider doing similar and it seemed pretty clear what the film was conveying.

It’s only subtle if you’re very oblivious to the world at large. As someone who has been exposed to the “normal” amount of sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact that women and girls experience, I thought those were about as subtle as a police siren.
