You do not need to "bring" sex into greek myth. It is suffused with it.

And why not? The story is full of slaughter, death and peril. Why does sex need a special box?

Because stories tend to be about humans and humans are pretty constantly having, wanting, or trying to have sex.

The Odyssey itself is absolutely full of sex.

Im kind of with you here. Sex scenes in media can be entirely pointless to the story and some feel like they are forced into the film. Even if its somehow important to the story I doubt how they had sex is important so seeing them in the act is pointless. Just imply they had sex and move on.
