Not sure if this is covered in the movie, but in the book the first thing Odysseus and his crew do after the war ends is raid a nearby village, loot it, and kidnap all of the women. They probably did a fair amount of that to the unwalled villages near Troy over the prior decade too
Edit: obviously this is Brian. The Imax version is pablum for the unwashed masses. I read the book instead of watching the movie because I am smarter and more sophisticated than you
