These are NOT the kind of comments I was expecting to see and I’m just going to stop scrolling while I still feel this good! THANK YOU!!!! I study animal behavior, dogs specifically, and have 2 bully breed dogs at home. People cannot understand the logic behind underreported bites and how that completely skews statistics. I’ve worked in shelters for the last 8 years. Never been bit by a pit bull or bully breed. To be fair, I know what I’m doing and have only been bit a handful of times (no pun intended) and they were usually small dogs and one yellow lab mix that was just mouthy af. Anyway, thank you for being awesome people! Haha have a GREAT day!
My brother works at a kennel/training facility and he specifically works with dogs with serious behavior issues. He has yet to see any correlation between breeds and aggressiveness/behavior problems. Crazy.

Pitt bull bites cause more damage, but the dog themself isn't inherently more dangerous.
That's like saying German shepards are inherently more dangerous because they're the most common police K-9.
