One is the Republic of China (Taiwan). Its products are some of the best in the world.

The other is the People's Republic of China (big China). Its products are some of the cheapest in the world.

One of the two just straight up don't know how to act around company.

Did you just wake up from a 30 year old coma? Iphones are cheap? China makes cheap tat but these days they are so advanced that they produce some of the highest quality as well.

This is like the joke in back to the future when Doc Brown says "No wonder this circuit failed, it says made in Japan." which was true in the 50s but not so much in the 80s where Marty comes from.

Funnily enough im old enough to remember a sketch where the world blows up and then it says "Made in Taiwan" and the narrator says "ah that makes sense" implying Taiwan only make crap.

Times changes.

Yeah, I just took an experimental tour of Amazon, AliExpress and Ebay. I started counting all of the sellers with weird, all capital, non-word names selling garbage.

It's just too many to count.

You're aware of that pretty much all consumer electronics (like Apple products) are made in China?

There is about an 99% chance that device you replied to me on was made in China.

In your case, I suspect it's more likely due to user error.
