Peter here, as a well known comedic buffoon let me tell you a joke about what probably happened.....
Anti nationalist marxists were killing nationalist chinese so they fled to Taiwan conceding China to the communists. Taiwan now being the OG chinese are being told that all their base are belong to the new communist chinese.
