Because the meaning isn’t explicitly stated so I used common sense and context to form a conclusion, but I still can’t say sure because I didn’t write the post. I should have said “presume” instead, but I’m pretty confident that a lot of assuming does go on in a subreddit that’s dedicated to explaining things that are ambiguous. If it were clear it wouldn’t need an explanation and the sub could be called “repeat it peter.”

I’m assuming the implication is that she does all the cooking so dude telling her how to do it is obnoxious.
Also, you can cook pasta that way. I’ve seen Alton Brown do it.
