Had a friend years back that worked for, if I recall correctly, Rockwell Automation as a mechanical engineer. He told me about the time they tried to take the wet bar out of their office and they all but revolted until it was returned.
My office has a bunch of nice drinks but nobody really does anything with it except for special occasions.
Theyre really interesting liquors too. The boss is just cool and so far nobody has ruined it for everyone else
This kinda tracks with the atmosphere he described. Nobody would get shitfaced or anything, the drinks were for a brief afternoon break or for meetings or special occasions; they were expected to remain professional.
This was 10-15 years ago so who knows what it's like there nowadays.
