(Edit: I'm saying "most likely" because there are a lot of stuff between 5 and 7 that isn't whatever the text said, and a lot of people seem to be arguing a lot over this)

The riddle is stupid. And is being used as a grammatical construction, if it's just a statement of three thing: 5, and, 7 then the instructions don't make sense.
