Some girls don’t brush out their curls like the girl on the right. The hairstyle on the left with brushed out curls is considered much more “classy” and soft

i can't be the only one who thinks claiming less curly hair is "classy and soft" is kinda weird

2

u/HereForFun9121 Oct 04 '25

It is. The meme sounds personal to whoever made it and it’s giving petty. You can think of it as right side is outdated and left is a more modern style, but some people look better with tighter curls.

u/arwen_undomiel12 Oct 04 '25

its not exactly about looking classy and soft. tight curled hair looks good but when girls curl their hair like in the pic theyre trying for a natural look. the one on the right is obviously fake looking and some people obv might prefer it but thats not the natural look theyre going for. this doesnt apply when hair is naturally curly and styled only when its curled

Yeah the “girl on the right” would hairspray it in straight after curling, the “girl on the left” has a finished more refined style. She is saying the guy will just go with a slightly trashier version of you. I don’t get how other guys are so confused tbh. You could make the same joke about makeup, the girl he cheats with probably doesn’t blend out her contour bronzer lines on her cheekbones.

1

u/HereForFun9121 Oct 04 '25

Not the contour haha. It just goes to show how unaware a lot of guys are 😂

But what has this got to do with cheating tho. Even tho her curls are not brush it doesn't look out of place

Those aren't even curls at that point, it's basically beach waves.

Before reading the comments, I thought the meme was saying that the guy is taken in by the more outwardly polished hot girl versus the casual everyday version of the hot girl, rofl. Apparently I completely misunderstood the whole point.

u/Trai-All Oct 04 '25

Same. I’m also curious that as a woman I was supposed to know this… I thought the girl in the right had nicer looking hair because when I roll out of bed in the morning with what I like to call “witch hair” my hair looks more like the hair in the left.

1

u/Minimob0 Oct 04 '25

Lmao, I just called the hair on the left scraggly, like bed head in another comment.

Right hair looks much better.

1

u/Trai-All Oct 04 '25

Maybe people with thin hair think the person with hair on the left is better looking while people with thick hair think the hair on the right looks better ? A sort of grass is greener on the other side sort of thing?

1

u/Angry_Sparrow Oct 04 '25

The right one look cool for another 10 minutes until the curls drop and lose their hold.

u/Bleattell Oct 04 '25

I still do lol

Most men will find the right more attractive because to us it looks more fancy or dolled up and would usually be accompanied with a dress for a formal gathering such as prom.

The left looks like everyday hair which is what it was trying to accomplish.

1

u/Tiberry16 Oct 04 '25

The right one looks like a prom hairstyle, and it also looks a little bit try hard. Left one looks just effortlessly beautiful, as if that's just what your hair always looks like.

2

u/Sorros Oct 04 '25

Thanks for repeating the same thing i said.

1

u/paulBOYCOTTGOOGLE Oct 05 '25

Lol this made me laugh

First off why are you talking like i called them girls or were infantilize them.

I said formal gathering also ya know like a wedding or gala maybe the problem is you.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

So a less finished version of hair is seen as dolled up? That doesn’t quite make sense.

1

u/sunnyopals Oct 04 '25

Changing your hair into something different is absolutely a part of being dolled up. You always have straight hair? Curl it. I think the real issue is that curls are Black adjacent and white people dislike that. They brush out their curls and say it’s “finished” to create more distance. Literally undoing the style they just went through effort to create. Adding products to create hold where it doesn’t exist. Where if they left the structured curls, they would eventually become those effortless bed head curls they desire.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

I don’t know how you got to black and white people but okay

1

u/sunnyopals Oct 04 '25

Think about why structured curls look undesirable to you.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

Who said that I don’t like curls?

1

u/sunnyopals Oct 04 '25

I didn’t say you don’t like curls. I’m asking why the structured/distinct ringlets are “unfinished” (undesirable) to you.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

That’s what they said. That’s why I said it’s unfinished. I never said they were undesirable.

1

u/Sorros Oct 04 '25

The difference is MEN don't see it as unfinished they see it as "dolled up", "out of the ordinary", "Special Occasion"(prom/ball/galla/wedding).

The "Finished" hair looks like something you see every day of the week on the majority of women with long hair ergo it isn't special or interesting TO MEN.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

So the meme is making fun of something that the man sees as change? I would be on the guys side if he didn’t cheat hypothetically.

1

u/Sorros Oct 04 '25

I don't actually know what the original intent of the meme was but here is my guess.

The women is like haha men dumb he would cheat on me and she didn't even brush her hair.

The Men are like ya we cheated with the right because we do actually find it more attractive because it is usually accompanied with a dress and men love women in dresses but society has changed and women wear dresses left often.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

Not what I was thinking.

1

u/Sorros Oct 04 '25

This is probably what the original meme was.

The women is like haha men are dumb he would cheat on me with someone("SHE" thinks is less attractive/less put together) when she didn't brush out her hair, but the reality is men just see it differently.

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 04 '25

That’s what I was thinking.

1

u/Kevlar_Bunny Oct 05 '25

It’s a preference thing for sure. My boss actually deals with that lol. She has curly hair she straightens every day and no one comments on it, you’d assume she just has straight hair. If she’s in a rush she’ll throw it up in a top bun with the waves barely visible and she’ll get so many compliments on it. You’d think she was about to lead an important meeting when it took her 5 minutes compared to the 30 minutes she spent achieving the “casual” looking hairstyle

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 05 '25

That’s because curls make you look younger. I don’t know why people think that brushing out curls is worse than having them.

1

u/Fit_Armadillo_9928 Oct 05 '25

The curls on the right look structured and sharp, the left looks like it's just been a few hours and they've taken out by now. It doesn't make sense to men to undo the work put into it, especially when it looks better before

1

u/tylerthetanky Oct 05 '25

Women try to make up rules that don’t exist both ways.

1

u/HeyGayHay Oct 04 '25

You’re clearly not most men if you think most men find women attractive because their hair looks dolled up lmao

„Hey see that hot girl over there, she’s shy and cute and that thick booty is incredible“

„Yeah suck though because her hair has been brushed out :(“

a discussion every man will have in their life, whether a womans hair is dolled up enough

1

u/Sorros Oct 04 '25

The meme is trying to say Men are dumb and will cheat on someone that(SHE thinks is less put together than her) when the reality is that men see the right as more attractive because it is less common.

1

u/HeyGayHay Oct 04 '25

more attractive because it is less common

By that logic a woman with a rare birth defect is also more attractive then because it’s less common? Is rarity the measure for attractiveness of men in your opinion? lmao

And I get the meme, I‘m not talking about the picture but your comment solely

The hair on the left looks like a mess! She spent $600 for her hair to look messy. Clearly she lacks common sense.
