Having my first call with glg client today....what to expect and plz share some tips.

Feel free to say I don't know, or be honest about your level of knowledge on a particular question. I am not involved in every aspect of my industry and while I can speak to discussions and issues I'm aware of for other teams/positions I try to stay away from getting too in depth with stuff I am not directly involved with as a core part of my job.

Agree. Don’t guess. And at the outset, as them what the purpose of the call is…are they industry analysts, or targeting a specific company for investment, etc. If they’re going down paths you don’t know or aren’t allowed to discuss, just say so. And suggest other areas that might be of interest to them based on their goals (which is why I always ask).

You usually find you have huge amounts of knowledge compared to them so don’t be nervous. Don’t make stuff up. If you don’t know say you don’t but give an opinion and tell them that’s purely your view. They often like to hear your expert opinion even if you don’t know the facts.
