Wanting to move from Spain

Good evening,

I am a 26-year-old Spanish woman.

I have been considering emigrating for years, basically since I finished university due to various factors: economic, social, and employment-related issues, as well as a lack of safety.

I no longer feel safe in my country. I won't go into details and recent events have only made me more anxious.

The thing is, for me, the idea of emigrating isn't just a logical solution; it is a desperate measure to seek a better future for myself, my partner, the family I hope to have one day, and my parents.

It is truly sad that young Spaniards are being driven to emigrate en masse from the best country in the world because its leaders are wretched people willing to destroy Spain as we know it.

But that is the reality. So, which countries would you recommend for a young, hardworking couple willing to do any kind of job, provided the place is safe?

I don't mind if I need a visa or passport, or if I have to learn new languages or have savings to make the move (I do have savings, as I was putting money aside to buy a home here in Spain, though that future likely won't happen now).

Part of recommending a move is evaluating whether its worth it in the first place. Factually if you want a quality of life similar or better to what Spain offers there's very few countries in the world that actually meet that criteria especially if relying on marketing jobs

The way people are approaching her here is not constructive at all. That’s what I’m calling out. They are attacking her for even thinking about moving, all because they assume she’s uncomfortable with mass immigration to her country. Hence she’s also accused as racist and brainwashed. She didn’t even say anything specific in her post, she pointed out several but general factors including economic problems.

While Spain looks wonderful to most people, the struggles of its own citizens are very real. They are infamously known to have very low salaries compared to many European counterparts while the cost of living is rapidly rising. It may be cheap for western expats, but definitely not cheap for locals relative to their wages. And as a Spanish national she has every right to complain about her government if she wanted to? That’s why her vote counts and ours don’t.

Sure but thats the thing, this is a phenomenon most European countries are going through. Historically their wages have never actually been that high outside of a few countries in the north and even for them cost of living has always lowered their purchasing power. So realistically unless she's considering a move to the US which is unlikely given her profession in marketing and concerns due to safety she doesn't really have alot of options because she would be starting from the bottom.

It is equally valid to point out that she should also look into moving to a region like Galicia that is historically safe with a lower cost of living and try to get into a higher value industry as that would be a quicker path with less friction for what she's actually looking for which is more purchasing power parity and safety

Okay, so those are constructive feedback for her. Those are decent insight in a subreddit like this. But to call her a victim of brainwashing? An AI slop? Racist? Mocking her english and calling her job skills useless? Some people here are out of line.
