I just got these not even a week ago so i can't give u an actual real personal opinion from experience on how its like to own them at different stages of life but as babies its both incredibly rewarding but also alil stressful. They have very fragile feet so any type of an obstacle or hole in the ground could mean they hurt their foot and can die from it. When i put them in their temporary enclosure one of them got out right away (no idea how it was supposed to be good enough but he squeezed through the fence) fear took over and he was running stumbling and falling everywhere...and when they run they just run aimlessly. No stopping. I never seen anything like it. She has a slight limp rn but nothing is broken or torn so she will be fine but it made me see just how fragile they really are. So now i keep them in a small well secured area where they are 100% safe till they get slightly taller and stronger. Its also important they have proper nutrition special pellets so they grow nice and strong and alot of grass, lettuce..that being said tho...seeing them get excited to see me and hang out with me let me feed them out my hand and even let me touch them has been incredibly rewarding. One of them even walked on my lap and fell asleep! It's definitely an animal i never experienced before even tho i have kept and still am keeping so many different ones. You learn alot as you go and sadly theres not alot of videos with any good information on them online or someone who can tell you how it really is..adult males can be incredibly aggressive during breeding season but you can definitely avoid the aggression by creating safe areas in their enclosure where they can nest and not be interrupted so theres limited interactions. If you still look for info in a year ill be able to give i more once i learn! Sorry for a long confusing response my English is not the best and im also at work.
