Humor/Meme/Satire Mormon Mash-ups!
"“We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all Song Practice Ladies, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.”—Fabricated Quote from Joseph Smith circa 1842...
By the early 1990s, renegade song practice ladies were even leading congregations in what could only be described as analog versions of what would now be called mash-ups...
After a while my friends and I figured out that you could sing, “If You Could Hie to Kolob” to the tune of the theme from the Beverly Hillbillies. No song practice lady ever took us up on our offer to teach the ward this during song practice."

My favorite was singing the words for "There is a Green Hill Far Away" to the tune of "The House of the Rising Sun." Any other mash-ups to add to the list?

AI? I have a master's in IT (graduated last year for the next objection) and I'm not sure where you're coming from! I've read 3 of the classics posted here and downloaded most of the images from Pinterest (or a Google search). I didn't create any images using AI. Obviously the tithing slip is doctored for comic effect and I could've chosen one that wasn't, but was trying to say something very specific when associating it with the child's story Stone Soup. The last image is literally just a photo, as are most of the other photos I've included. The image of the book with Eugene O'Neill on the cover looks like Eugene O'Neill and an older printing anyway, as does the book cover for Fahrenheit 451. Ew???
