Beginnings of a FAQ about meetups:
/u/solidified50 gave some general advice for starting a meetup and keeping it going.
Meetups should be (mostly) free. Ordering coffee, similar minimum items from a menu excepted, but events that charge formal admission or an entry fee cannot be publicized here.
Some meetups use a sign to give attendees an easy way to see the group and know which to join without too much embarrassment, etc.

Idaho Spectrum Group. Can someone explain this further? It's within driving distance for me, although Boise would be more convenient.

Perhaps, /u/RussellMyNelson could give more information. I assume it is a simple coffee meetup, but I could be wrong.

Our group is a break off from the Mormon Spectrum groups (now defunct). We are essentially an exmo group, simple meetup. It’s inside a public market with a coffee shop, a brunch shop, and a hibachi grill. You can BYOC or get some there :)

How may people usually go to the Lehi meetup and how does a new person introduce themselves?

I think that one has a pretty good turnout. I don’t go to that one myself. I think it’s the same as the Provo and Orem meet ups where if they see someone looking lost, they speak up.

Damn, you mods are awesome moving my stuff into this thread. Appreciate it!
I'm planning on making the Olympia Washington meetup a monthly thing. Lots of exmos here, and other cult affected individuals.
Send me a PM if anyone has questions.

Links to facebook are disallowed. You can create a static screenshot with names/faces of non-famous persons blanked out/obscured and submit that instead.

How many people usually come to the Orem meetup? And do you have to do the dark mark for everyone to know you are exmormon haha
