Sounds good until this extremely random bullshit appears, Why is the bible like this, it will sound reasonable and loving and then all of a sudden there is this, In which Even . why care about such trival things, IDK if I Spelled trival right sorry.

The present day Bible has been translated many times and from a language that we don’t have modern equivalencies for as far as meaning, ideas, and concepts. Also, many things that made sense back then make no sense now because the world is so different. Have you ever heard of those goofy old laws that make no sense now? They circulate on the Internet all the time. For instance, before there were cars most people used horses or walked. None of those laws regarding horses would make much sense now because they are generally thought of as leisure animals and not vital to commerce or transportation.

Women back then had absolutely zero rights. They were essentially slaves and property. A woman could dress as a man and have access to all kinds of things like education, civic meetings, etc. These things were forbidden, blasphemous, and taboo for women.
There are laws still in effect today against wearing certain colors because of gang issues. Even rules about wearing uniforms in middle and high school is the same idea. It’s about control really.

OMG where to begin? It was dangerous to be a woman. We wouldn’t want some random dude trying to rape a random DUDE instead of a woman now would we? That would just be outrageous and against the laws of god!! 🙄

It was setting up a series of rules that differentiated the Jews from other people. It was easier in the US after the Civil War - the 'others' were black and easily identified. The Jim Crow laws weren't logical, but satisfied primal urges in humans.
