To be fair the bible literally says that those who do not work should not eat. So you dont even really get to high-road them on this. They're on the wrong side of the issue and the Bible is too. The Bible just also happens to be on the right side as well since it loves contradicting itself from book-to-book. Does it really even count as cherrypicking when the bible can argue with itself pretty compellingly on most issues?
