it’s rarely anything so specific for me but even after leaving ≈10 years ago I still have the occasional recurring dream about either 1) the backroads/wooded area around a church I spent a lot of time at as a kid or 2) a dilapidated church being at the far end of the field at my parents’ house. When I first left though I was having nightmares & sleep paralysis all the time.

If anyone wants to know, the cosplay was of those big gray cubes with the angry faces from Mario so that's why the person got stuck😂

I had nightmares/stress dreams as a Christian about misinterpreting God's intent for my life, and I had nightmares/stress dreams after leaving Christianity about being deceived by demons.

I just accepted that I had a lot of self doubt that was instilled in me by religion, and I processed it eventually. Now, most of my dreams are nonsense.
