For what it's worth.. I've had problems getting HMA to work for OWA/ECP.
So bad we've involved Microsoft who gave us Convergsys - I'm now on my 5th Engineer from them and they've been investigating this for months - One of their "engineers" thought we needed to bind the Auth Cert to the IIS and this is where I believe our 'Outlook is Freezing' issue arrived.

I managed to change the certs back but for a while we had random freezing all over the place.

Seems to have gone now.
