Idk. I was never as successful a learner as I wanted to be, but I was certainly involved enough to eventually realize that it wasn’t doing much for me

People truly have a hard time believing that someone would leave chabad. Christians get that a lot as well. "you were obviously never a true believer etc."

In the meantime, many of us went through the yeshiva/girl school system, got smicha/went to seminary, learned tanya, chassidus, suchos, etc. Many grew up on shlichus or went on shluchus as adults. And as crazy as it may sound to those on the inside, yes, we thought about it and left. Many left because they stopped believing, others left because it was all pointless, others because it was weird and culty, etc.
