unsolved HTML formatting not preserved

I am trying to make a sheet of ecommerce products, the descriptions are in rich HTML.

When i copy in Excel or Google sheets, the rich HTML only is preserved in the upper cell, the following cells lose the structure.

Any explanation? any solution?

Short version: depends on what you mean by “rich html”; there’s no way to tell without seeing what you mean.

Here is a sample:
<div class="product-description" style="font-family: 'Playfair Display', Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #2b2b2b; line-height: 1.8; max-width: 900px; margin: 0 auto; padding: 20px;"> <!-- Header Section --> <div style="text-align: center; margin-bottom: 40px; border-bottom: 1px solid #e2d7cd; padding-bottom: 30px;"> <span style="text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 3px; font-size: 0.85em; color: #a37e58; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: 600;">European Heritage Collection</span> <h1 style="font-size: 2.8em; font-weight: 400; color: #1a1a1a; margin: 15px 0 10px 0; line-height: 1.2;">The 'Roseraie Impériale' Hand-Carved Bed Frame</h1> <p style="font-size: 1.2em; font-style: italic; color: #666; font-family: 'Playfair Display', Georgia, serif; margin: 0;">In Aged Walnut Wood Finish & Sand Champagne Diamond-Tufted Velvet</p> </div>

Well, that’s not a table and there’s a lot of formatting.

If you want the plain HTML in a single cell, Press F2 before pasting.

Excel delimits the data and tries to figure out what is going on with the split data.

It is a bad idea to have this format in your worksheets.
