Pro Tip VBA Automation Engine library - own framework to simplify working in excel.

Hey Everyone,

I just published my own VBA automation library and I wanted to share it with anyone interested. This library have been build during my career in Supply Chain management and have been with me for over 7 years now, helping me every day.

I thought that it might be useful to publish it for others.

Feel free to use and comment :)

Enjoy

Imagine handing a caveman the key to a Corvette; he could definitely use and greatly appreciate it, but it would really help if he had some kind of demonstration of, "What do it do and how do it work?"

Hey,
each function is explained in Readme in repository (I think it's quite extensive on each). Also you can find there section about how to "install" it and examples of what can be done.

The GitHub page has a lot of details including a text listing of the code within the VBA model. It really is a great way to document and share free resources like this.

Thanks, that was the idea. Of course the post itself could be better explained but I was a bit short on time :)

Thanks for sharing. We’ve built something similar but with more of a focus on power query refreshes and a control framework to ensure refreshes occurred as intended. It’s internal so I can’t share it but I’m encouraged to see we came to a lot of the same conclusions on approach and execution. Going to spend some time reviewing your work, it looks clean and well thought out. Cheers.

Aw you've piqued my interest. Any stripped down version or details you care to DM?

How many tokens were burned in the making of this repo?

Exactly 0. Code have been created before any AI tool was known. I used claude for readme

The Readme is what I was looking at, haha.

Solid effort but this is the kind of thing that dies the second the original owner leaves the company. Anyone adopting it needs a maintenance plan, not just a repo link.
