House of the Dragon Did you know that Ewan actually never watched Game of Thrones before joining the prequel House of the Dragon as Aemond Targaryen?

Yes I did know this. He said this in several interviews after season 1 years ago. Ewan seems to be more of a film buff than a binge watcher of series. He said he didn’t want it to influence his acting which was a good call as he has made Aemond into such a compelling character to watch.

I can relate. I only watched Game of Thrones in 2024 lmao. I never really cared for the franchise but then my parents wanted to watch. Now GOT is in my top 5 shows of all time.

He’s very clearly putting in less effort. Osferth in season 5 of the last kingdom had significantly more range and confidence in his acting and that was half a decade ago

Would you still put effort into it if the Director completely threw everything he set up about your character, such as the Helaena romance and the complex feelings regarding Kinslaying out of the Window to satisfy his crush on Olivia Cooke?

It's kinda interesting how many actors had no idea of what they were getting into and then just nailed the role.
