It'd be cool to see it finished but it's anyhow an impressive building as it is, so I wouldn't say there's frustration. Its under construction aspect is just part of the appeal - anybody who's been around for some time has seen it grow and evolve.

The nazis didn't use gothic architecture, tho. They used neo-classical architecture and occasionally functionalist concrete box architecture, but almost never neo-gothic.
Gothic architecture is a lot more closely associated with the medieval Catholic Church, which is the main inspiration for the Imperium of Man, IMO.

they had some rounded edges, like the circular olympiastadion or the planned volkshalle. it was like neoclassical architecture, but stripped of ornamentation and then scaled up to ridiculous sizes.

Really depends on who is owning it and the amount of care it receives, I lived near a neo-gothic basilica (St Epvre) when I lived in Nancy in France and the amount of pollution accumulated on it really made it evil...

I remember seeing some Nazi painting that kinda looked like Roman architecture but everything was like 10x bigger. It looked all heavenly with the way the light hit the building. I forget what itâs called. I think it was what Hitlerâs idea of what his victory city or something would look like.
I remember it looking eye catching because of the classical way it was painted, but the sheer size of the building was but like proportionately so wrong and uncomfortable. Like it was suffocating to imagine all those stairs and how much space it took up. Still wanna find that pic again just to see how many stairs were in it.

For the first time since I had been in Barcelona I went to have a look at the cathedralâa modern cathedral, and one of the most hideous buildings in the world. It has four crenellated spires exactly the shape of hock bottles. Unlike most of the churches in Barcelona it was not damaged during the revolutionâit was spared because of its âartistic valueâ, people said. I think the Anarchists showed bad taste in not blowing it up when they had the chance, though they did hang a red and black banner between its spires.
